In 1969, Jim Williams, one of Savannah’s earliest and most dedicated private restorationists, bought the then vacant house and began a two-year restoration. This house is one of the more than 50 houses Mr. Williams saved during his thirty-year career in historic restoration in Savannah and the Lowcountry.

Lovely home on one of Savannah's Historic Squares

The outside of the home is exactly as I imagined it from my reading "The Book" ~ as locals reefer to "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil." The Carriage House is a lovely place to shop.

    great to visit

fans of the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil should definitely tour the home, don't bring the kids.

    Interesting

The guide was a very nice gentleman who sounded like Morgan Freeman! Neat story behind the home. You do only tour the first floor.
