Episode 7: Prohibition in Savannah

American Prohibition Museum

American Prohibition Museum

"What would you like to drink?" It's the first-asked question in Savannah, a city that embraces imbibing. Between our open container policy, plethora of pubs and watering holes, and amazing weather just daring you to have a cold drink on a sunny day, it's no surprise that Prohibition compliance wasn't exactly Savannah's forte. Today, Savannah is home to the American Prohibition Museum, the only museum in the country entirely dedicated to the story of the 21st Amendment. In this episode, we sit down with Travis Spangenburg, the museum's creative and production Manager, to chat about the history of Prohibition in Savannah.
