The Dive Savannah is a nonprofit restaurant in the heart of Savannah, Georgia, that serves fresh, affordable food to the homeless and needy. The Dive operates a Homeless Day Center at Christ Church Anglican every Thursday from 9:00 AM - 2:00 P.M. The restaurant is also a community gathering place where people can come together to eat, share stories, and build relationships.
The Dive Savannah and the Dive Savannah Foundation was founded in 2021 by Kristy Crill and her two daughters, Emily Schmidt and Susannah Crill. They are passionate about helping those in need and tackling the crisis of homelessness.
The Dive serves a variety of comfort food favorites, such as fried chicken, mac and cheese, and cornbread. The food is all made from scratch using fresh, local ingredients. The restaurant also offers a variety of vegan and gluten-free options.
In addition to serving food, The Dive also provides a variety of other services to the homeless and needy. The restaurant offers job training programs, life skills classes, and assistance with finding housing and employment. The Dive also operates a homeless day center that provides clothing and other essential items to those in need.
