God on Broadway: Waitress

Asbury Memorial Church presents its popular "God on Broadway" series, which takes place every Sunday this October. These services combine sermons and liturgy with the themes and music from popular Broadway shows. "Waitress," explores a talented pie-maker who is stuck in hard times, but she finds hope through a baking contest and new friendships. Under the direction of minister of music Ray Ellis, the Asbury Choir will perform music from the shows which resonates with the scripture selected each Sunday in October. The sermons, preached by senior pastor Rev. Billy Hester, will be inspired by both the Biblical texts and the plots of the shows. The "God on Broadway" series is free and open to the public.
