The Georgia Historical Society (GHS) presents a conversation with journalist and historian Steve Oney in Savannah on September 12, 2024, as he is inducted as the latest Vincent J. Dooley Distinguished Teaching Fellow. A long-time staff writer for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Magazine, Oney is the author of the award-winning and critically acclaimed And the Dead Shall Rise: The Murder of Mary Phagan and the Lynching of Leo Frank; A Man's World: A Gallery of Fighters, Creators, Actors, and Desperadoes; and the forthcoming On Air: The Triumph and Tumult of NPR.
