This program invites families to explore Gyotaku, the traditional Japanese art of fish printing, through a fun, hands-on creative activity. Using detailed rubber fish models, participants will learn printing techniques that highlight the textures and shapes of marine animals.
Rice paper will be provided, and guests are welcome to bring their own cloth items, such as t-shirts, for printing. As you experiment with color and composition, you will discover the beauty of marine life while creating unique, take‑home artwork. Wearing paint-friendly clothing is recommended.
Registration is required and includes admission to the UGA Aquarium. This program is designed for children ages 8 and up. All children under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
