Summer Storytime Program - "We the Kids"

The Summer Storytime Program invites children of all ages and their caregivers to participate in a three-part, multi-sensory read-aloud series at the Davenport House Museum. Families will be invited to the museum's historic drawing room to enjoy a 30-minute read-aloud of a carefully selected illustrated children's book that connects to a piece of shared history. Then, participants will head outside to the museum garden for an engaging, hands-on craft or educational activity inspired by the day's story. Complimentary snacks and beverages will be served in the courtyard.

The second installment of the series will take place on Wednesday, July 8th, and feature the book "We the Kids" by David Catrow. Thanks to local donors, every attending family will receive a free copy of the book to take home.

Designed for children of all ages, the Summer Storytime Program supports literacy initiatives in Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools. The Summer Storytime Program is free and open to the public, but registration is required to ensure enough books and supplies for everyone.
