Join us for a powerful evening of film, conservation, and conversation with a screening of The Right Whale followed by a special panel discussion and audience Q&A featuring experts from Georgia Conservancy, and Tybee Island Marine Science Center, as well as the filmmakers, Cheryl & Nick Dean.

The Right Whale takes audiences on an unforgettable emotional journey from the sub-Antarctic calving grounds to the busy urban oceans of the northern hemisphere, offering a breathtaking look at one of the world's most endangered marine mammals. Through stunning cinematography and groundbreaking footage, the film reveals intimate glimpses into the whales' social lives, newly documented behaviors, and the extraordinary challenges they face in an increasingly dangerous ocean environment.

Balancing moments of wonder, heartbreak, and hope, The Right Whale invites viewers to experience the ocean through the whales' eyes while exploring the urgent realities of conservation and coexistence.

Following the film, the filmmakers, as well as representatives from Georgia Conservancy, and Tybee Island Marine Science Center will lead a panel discussion and interactive Q&A exploring whale conservation, coastal ecosystems, ongoing research efforts, and what communities can do to help protect marine life for future generations.
