National Wildlife Refuge Week is October 10-17. Coastal Georgia and South Carolina have seven national wildlife refuges, and five are open to visitors for free, including Savannah, Harris Neck, and Pinckney Island. Walk a trail, watch birds, and pick up a Refuge T-shirt at the Gator Hole shop, 10% off for everyone and 20% off for Friends members.
