Info & Amenities
Originally built as a cotton warehouse in 1859, the Riverside is located on historic River Street – Savannah’s number one tourist destination. With its solid brick exterior, stone ballast accents, exposed ceiling rafters and arched openings between bays, the Riverside has retained much of its historic charm.
Now a mixed-use property containing retail, restaurant and residential units, this five-story building is home to some of Savannah’s most popular restaurants including Fiddler’s Crab House, the River House Seafood Restaurant and Cobblestone Café. Oceanside Resorts purchased the Riverside property in 2001. In November 2005, Oceanside sold the three upper floors which are currently being converted into a boutique hotel, The Cotton Sail Hotel. A luxury rooftop lounge and bar will be opened to Savannah’s tourists and residents in the Fall of 2013.
