First Reading Reenactment & Commemoration

This event will reenact and commemorate the first reading of the Declaration of Independence in Savannah, which arrived in the hands of Archibald Bulloch, president of the Provincial Council, on August 10, 1776. Spectators will watch Mr. Bulloch arrived with a procession of Savannah patriots, greet gatherers, and read the document much like he did 250 years ago.
