The Savannah African Art Museum hosts their third annual Kwanzaa Marketplace from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21 in the Museum's Courtyard, located at 201 East 37th Street. The marketplace will feature vendors of the African Diaspora selling various handcrafted items such as jewelry, art, clothing, and more. The Museum's Kwanzaa Marketplace is a public event for the local and tourism community to celebrate and learn more about the African-American cultural holiday, Kwanzaa, which is based on the African Celebration of “First Fruits.” The festivity provides a unique holiday shopping experience that introduces and supports the creative works by local artisans of the African Diaspora.
