In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore the fundamentals of shibori-inspired folding and binding techniques to design your own unique textile piece. Using dye derived from the indigo plant, you'll transform plain fabric into a beautiful, hand‑crafted scarf rich with pattern, texture, and tradition. No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.

* Understand the cultural roots of shibori
* Identify common shibori folding and binding methods
* Apply folding, binding, and clamping techniques to fabric
* Prepare and handle natural indigo dye safely and effectively
* Experiment with pattern creation through multiple dye dips
* Students learn how layering, timing, and oxidation influence the final design.
