Designed by internationally acclaimed architect Moshe Safdie, Telfair Museums’ Jepson Center presents highlights from the museum’s modern and contemporary collection and also treats visitors to an ever-changing array of exceptional artwork—from classical European masters to daring emerging artists.

In July 2023, Telfair Museums welcomed the public to its newest addition: the Telfair
Children's Art Museum in the Jepson Center. The culmination of a years-long project, the museum partnered with Savannah design firm FREN Inc. to create a transformative space that ignites creativity and inspires children of all ages. Admissions to CAM is included with regular admissions.

  • Wheel the World Description The Jepson Center & Telfair Children's Art Museum has a variety of strengths that enhance accessibility. Key features include an elevator with wide doors (42 inches) that accommodate wheelchair users comfortably, alongside accessible bathrooms equipped with grab bars and sufficient turning space (more than 60 inches). The facility also boasts step-free entry points throughout, ensuring ease of access for all visitors.

A distinctive state-of-the-art museum building designed by internationally-acclaimed architect Moshe Safdie, the Jepson Center can accommodate very large groups in its soaring, three-story atrium, expansive galleries, and third-floor outdoor sculpture terraces. Located on Telfair Square just one building away from the Telfair Academy, the Jepson Center also features a sweeping, three-story central staircase ideally suited for the grandest of grand entrances, a 200-seat auditorium for presentations and small performances, a fully equipped boardroom, museum store, and catering kitchen.
