Our Weather is a Total Flex

What's that old saying? "It ain't bragging if you can back it up." Our weather is like a well-choreographed dance — we take the lead but allow you to cut in. Let's start with Spring. Temperatures range from the 70s to the 80s. It's the ideal time to explore our Historic District, where the azaleas are in full bloom and the air is filled with the sweet scent of magnolias. Next Summer. Heat? What heat? Sure, the temps can reach the 90s, but we’ve got the cool factor down to a science. Beat the heat with a refreshing dip in one of our many hotel pools, a visit to the iconic Leopold’s Ice Cream, or a stroll through the air-conditioned halls of our numerous museums and galleries. Plus, our charm is so captivating that you won't even notice the thermometer. 😉

Fall in Savannah is a fashionista’s dream, with early months boasting 80s during the day and 60s at night, and the latter part of the season bringing high 70s and low 50s. It’s the perfect time to layer up and enjoy the crisp air while sipping on a seasonal latte. The foliage is a stunning backdrop for your social feed, and the cooler evenings are ideal for ghost tours and nightlife. If you were disappointed because you missed our once-in-a-lifetime spectacular 200th-year St. Patrick's Day Parade extravaganza that will never EVER come around again — it's ok. No, don't hold your head down; look at us. Because guess what? You get to celebrate 201 years, which means we can officially proclaim that our parade is 200+ years old. Annual Festivals Will Return With Avengence!

Speaking of Irish, The Savannah Irish Festival returns from January 31 to February 1. Get ready to don your green, sip some Guinness, and dance a jig to the lively tunes of traditional Irish music. Whether you’re a seasoned St. Patrick’s Day enthusiast or just looking to add a little luck to your life, this festival is a must-do.

Each year we can’t wait to celebrate the beauty of perfectly bound paper hidden behind suspensefully designed covers at the Savannah Book Festival, February 6-9. This literary extravaganza brings together authors, readers and book lovers for a weekend of readings, discussions and signings. From mystery novels to historical epics, there’s something for everyone. Plus, the charming backdrop of Savannah’s historic district makes it the perfect storybook setting.

The Savannah Music Festival 2025, running from March 27 to April 12, is a symphony of sounds that will leave you humming long after the last note is played.
