Experience the roar of cannon fire and celebrate America's 250th Anniversary while Park Rangers narrate the firing process and provide a short program about the 1862 bombardment that breached Fort Pulaski's walls, changing the history of fortifications. Cannon firings will take place at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM inside Fort Pulaski. Each demonstration will last for approximately 30 minutes.
Fort Pulaski will be free and open to the public on July 3rd, July 4th, and July 5th, 2026, as part of the National Park Service's celebration of the 250th Anniversary of American Independence.
