Gutstein Gallery is proud to present new works by Kent Knowles, a celebrated figurative artist and beloved faculty member in the Painting Department at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Knowles's latest series explores themes of self-preservation and isolation, rendered through his distinct visual language that balances psychological depth with painterly grace. Represented by Alan Avery Art Company (Atlanta, GA), Linda Matney Gallery (Williamsburg, VA), and The Morren Galleries (Utrecht, Netherlands), Knowles's work continues to captivate audiences both nationally and internationally.
In addition to his painting practice, Knowles is also an author and illustrator, known for his children's books Lucius and the Storm and The Realm of Smaller Things, as well as his ongoing work in horror screenwriting.
The exhibition will be on view October 16 - November 8, with an artist talk on October 25 at 11 a.m. Join us in celebrating one of SCAD's most respected artists and educators in this compelling exhibition that contemplates resilience, solitude, and the human condition.
