The Art of the Character Film Series: Dangerous Liaisons

Throughout the run of Telfair's featured exhibition, The Art of the Character: Highlights from the Glenn Close Costume Collection, the Jepson Center auditorium will play host to The Art of the Character Film Series! Come experience the incredible costumes on display in the galleries on the big screen, too!

First up: Dangerous Liaisons. This award-winning film with a star-studded cast, based on the 1782 novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses, tells a story of sexual politics set amongst the jaded nobility of pre-revolutionary France. Glenn Close portrays the Marquise de Merteuil, who entreats the Vicomte de Valmont (John Malkovich) to seduce the fiancée of another ex-lover in retaliation for ending their relationship. Come dressed in your favorite 18th-century attire for a chance to win a prize!
