The Savannah African Art Museum will host a special ribbon-cutting and gallery opening celebration on Thursday, April 30, unveiling two new exhibitions that deepen visitors' understanding of African art, culture, and heritage. The event will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the museum's location on East 37th Street, with the official ribbon cutting scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Guests are invited to enjoy an evening of art, culture, and community as they explore the museum's newest additions. The two featured exhibitions include The Liren Wei Collection, a new permanent gallery showcasing works from across West and Central Africa, and "Roots and Rituals: Agriculture and Spirituality in the West African Interior", which examines the deep connections between farming practices, spirituality, and daily life among communities in Mali and Burkina Faso.
