Kate Hamill's Sense and Sensibility is a fast-paced, witty adaptation of the classic novel by Jane Austen. It blends Austen's sharp humor with heartfelt emotion as it follows the lives of sensible Elinor and sensitive Marianne Dashwood and their fortunes (and misfortunes) after their father's death leaves them penniless and socially vulnerable. The sisters are surrounded by social climbers, gossips, and busy-bodies who seek to direct and redirect their futures in this hilarious adaptation.
