Historic Savannah Foundation and the Davenport House Museum present the Artisan Spotlight Series. The popular series offers engaging, hands-on events at Historic Kennedy Pharmacy and provides a dynamic platform for artists and artisans to share their creative processes with local residents and visitors.

This September, connect with the past and discover how creativity can bring magic to the everyday in a unique workshop led by Julia Jarrett of Made by Venus Moon. Participants will learn the art of broom making using natural materials and time-honored techniques. A Savannah-based broom maker and fiber artist, Jarrett will guide participants through the tactile process from start to finish and share insights into the cultural history and symbolism of broom making. Each participant will leave with their own handmade miniature broom.

All tools and materials will be provided. No experience is necessary to participate in Artisan Spotlight Series workshops. Space is limited, and advance registration is required.

Admission
