Local Transportation Tips
Street Sweeping
Always check posted signage before parking. Many streets have scheduled street sweeping, and vehicles must be moved during those times to avoid a citation.
Major Events
Parking garages may close early during major holiday events, such as St. Patrick’s Day. Annual events like the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, Savannah Music Festival and Savannah Holly Days may also impact garage and street parking. Plan ahead, arrive early or simply walk.
One-Way Streets
Many streets in the Historic Landmark District are one-way. Pay close attention to street signs, as directions can change quickly.
Savannah is a highly walkable city. Once you’ve parked, consider exploring on foot or using local transportation to get around with ease.
