Get ready to "paddy" at Savannah's St. Patrick's Day Parade! But first, let's tackle some of your burning questions to make sure you're leprechaun-ready.

1. What time will road closures begin? 

Road closures will begin as early as 6 a.m. on March 17, the morning of the parade. Bay St. will close at 9 a.m. with full street closure at 9:45 a.m.

2. What time does the parade start? 

The parade starts on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 10:15 a.m., beginning at the intersection of Gwinnett and Abercorn Street.

3. Where should I park? 

Walking is always encouraged if you can, but street parking will be available. Please be mindful of the road closures.

4. What should I bring with me to the parade?

 Bring a chair, water and snacks if you'd like! You can also enjoy bleacher seating with Kelly Tours. Seating will be located by Colonial Park Cemetery ($40), Cathedral Basilica of St. John ($55) and on Bay Street ($40).

5. Is the parade family-friendly?

Absolutely!

6. Do you have to pay to see the parade?

7. How long is the parade?

It's a four-hour Irish celebration! Trust us, time flies much too soon.

8. Can I book a mobile tour before, during or after the parade? 

Mobile Tours will be prohibited from operating during the St. Patrick's Day Parade. This includes various modes of transportation such as cars, buses, bikes and even walking tours. However, walking tours may resume after the parade has ended.
Make sure to confirm the weekend and Monday schedule and any special holiday hours for each museum or historic home. You can also find additional business holiday hours here.

9. Will certain streets and squares be closed?

  • 11:30 p.m. – Monday, March 16 -  Marshalls will be in squares on route.
  • 12:00 a.m. until 5:59 a.m. – Tuesday, March 17 – No one is allowed in the squares.
  • 6:00 a.m. – Squares can be occupied.
  • 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.– There will be ongoing cleanup during the parade.
  • 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. – City Teams clean up squares.
  • 6:00 p.m. – Squares will be released to the public.

10. Are there rideshare areas?

Absolutely. On St. Patrick’s Day, designated rideshare pick-up and drop-off locations will be available in three downtown zones: Indian (Bay North), Johnson (Broughton to Bay) and Telfair (Broughton South).

11. What can I expect from the St. Patrick's Day Parade
