Tybee Island Pirate Festival 2025

Get ready, landlubbers and sea-rovers! The Tybee Island Pirate Festival returns October 9-12—and yes, it's completely FREE. Grab your best pirate gear and join in the fun for four days of swashbuckling good times, live music, mermaids, parrots, and more!

Highlights & Event Schedule

Thursday, October 9

Buccaneer Ball at The Crab Shack (6-10 pm): The weekend kicks off big with food, drink, and crowning of the Pirate King & Queen. Ages 18+. Tickets required.

Carnival at Hotel Tybee on the grassy lawn (hours TBA).

Friday, October 10 (5-11 pm)

Grounds open with FREE admission.

Main stage shows: Opening Ceremony → Aloha Joes → Unifya → Tokyo Joe.

Little Matey's Cove (5-8 pm): Face painting, pirate encampments, Mermaid Chelsea, Savannah Ghost Pirates, petting zoo, Peter Hart Puppeteer, and more.

Saturday, October 11 (11 am-11 pm)

FREE admission all day.

Main stage: Broke Locals → Anders Thomsen Trio → Southern Charm & JD Music Group → Costume Contest → Wymberly → Thomas Claxton & The Seventh Realm All-Star Band.

Parade from 3-5 pm.

Little Matey's Cove open 11 am-8 pm: Costume contest for kids, more pirate encampments, the petting zoo, mermaids, etc.

Sunday, October 12 (12-4 pm)

FREE admission.

Main stage: Eric Jones Trio (12:30-2pm), Outlaw Gypsy (2:30-4pm).

Little Matey's Cove 12-4pm with all the classic family favorites: free face painting, pirate encampment, mermaids, petting zoo, etc.

Don't Miss

Carnival at Hotel Tybee — full carnival rides and games (hotel lawn).

The Parade on Saturday (3-5pm) — whole town turns into pirate pageantry.

Costume contests — for kids (and epic photo ops).
