Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum—an acclaimed museum dedicated to celebrating and preserving America's maritime legacy—is pleased to host a special Opening Reception for "Beyond the Plate: Sea and Sky," an exciting new solo exhibition featuring nautical-inspired, mixed-media art by Rob Strati.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the artist and be among the first to experience his latest work, which incorporates broken porcelain plates that have been embellished and adorned with creative details. "Beyond the Plate: Sea and Sky" features bold, kinetic mixed-media works and limited-edition prints as well as an ambitious site-specific installation that will be suspended from the ceiling of the museum's atrium. Light refreshments will be served, and a portion of the proceeds from all artwork sales will benefit the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum.
"Beyond the Plate: Sea and Sky" will be on display from September 25, 2025, through April 12, 2026.
