History is in the making for meetings in Savannah, Georgia. The newly expanded Savannah Convention Center will double its size and capacity to host cutting-edge conventions and unforgettable event experiences in a city that’s truly a Southern gem.

The expansion will not only provide an impressive increase in the size of the facility but will include unique, modern features that will attract a wider variety of meetings and larger groups.
The Savannah Convention Center is located along the Savannah River. The Center provides a prime opportunity for boat shows, marine-focused events and outdoor recreation. And, in combination with the waterfront facility’s docks, groups can have a one-of-a-kind experience by traveling across the river on the Savannah Belles water ferries.
Outdoor meetings take new shape on the new rooftop patio overlooking the Savannah River and Historic Landmark District. The partially covered area of the terrace bodes well for all types of weather while providing an unforgettable view.
In addition, a brand-new hangar door will open up additional opportunities for the aerospace and aviation industry, offering small aircraft the chance to land on Hutchinson Island and taxi directly into the facility. This allows versatility for large scale installations and so much more.

Unmatched Space and Flexibility
With 200,000 square feet of exhibit hall space and a new 40,000-square-foot ballroom to complement the existing 25,000-square-foot ballroom, the convention center will accommodate a variety of events with ease. The impressive space also features 32 customizable breakout rooms, a 900-space parking garage, a 58-foot-wide hangar door and a new glass facade entry — the convention center has everything you need for a successful and memorable event.
