H+STEM Day - Motor Pool

Join us for Motor Pool, a special H+STEM Day where young learners explore how things move, from trucks and planes to gears and engines. This program is designed for children ages 5 to 10 and focuses on simple and complex machines, including the forces of flight and the mechanics of motion.

Activities include:

Hands-on STEM learning stations

Experience a rare, ground-level look inside the historic B-17 Flying Fortress, with interpretation from museum docents

Touch-a-Truck and Touch-a-Plane experiences

Motor Pool exhibit featuring real WWII vehicles

STEM sessions led by Southern Company Educator Wayne Grimes (three sessions during the day)

Learn how history and engineering connect through this engaging program that brings the Mighty Eighth's wartime logistics and aviation history to life.

Admission is $6 per H+STEM participant. Museum members attend free.
