Formed in 2017 and fronted by musicologist "Dr. K", Dr. Kenneth Scott Eggert, professor of music at Brevard College in North Carolina, The Fine Colombians are a powerhouse 9 piece touring band with full horn section and backup singers reproducing the classic 1970's albums of Steely Dan's storied career.

Starting as a one-off gig at a club 8 years ago and after years of performing to audiences far and wide the band now travels the southeastern USA playing larger clubs and theaters like Knoxville's Bijou Theater, the Red Clay Music Foundry in Atlanta and Savannah's Victory North.

Previous tour dates have included the performance of the "Aja" and "Royal Scam" albums in their entirety. Every night is different; the bands repertoire includes more than 50 songs going deep into the back catalog of both Steely Dan and Donald Fagen's solo work.

Named Tribute Band of The Year in 2022, the Crafty Bastard Brewery in Knoxville now brews a coffee stout lager called the Fine Colombian as a hat tip to Dr. K and the band.
