Overview of Position

The Manager, Partnerships & Community Engagement plays a critical role in developing, managing, and optimizing strategic partnerships and marketing programs that connect Visit Savannah and Visit Tybee Island with local businesses, organizations, and community stakeholders.

This position is primarily responsible for the execution and performance of Visit Savannah's and Visit Tybee Island’s partner marketing and web advertising programs, ensuring partners receive clear value, strong communication, and measurable results. The role also serves as a key liaison between internal teams, external partners, and community organizations to align tourism marketing initiatives with local priorities and economic development goals.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized relationship manager and program owner—someone who can manage multiple partner initiatives simultaneously, ensure accountability across stakeholders, and represent the organization with professionalism and credibility in the community.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Partnership & Program Management

  • Own and manage the execution of the web advertising and partner marketing programs for VisitSavannah.com and VisitTybee.com, including deliverables calendars, Basecamp project management, partner onboarding, performance tracking, and invoicing.
  • Actively support revenue growth for the advertising sales program by identifying upsell opportunities, program enhancements, and new partnership offerings in collaboration with the advertising sales contractor and internal leadership.
  • Manage the advertising sales contractor to align sales goals with operational execution, partner satisfaction, and long-term retention strategies.
  • Analyze partner performance and program results to recommend renewals, upgrades, and expanded investments that drive increased program revenue year over year.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing, content, and digital teams to maximize partner visibility, value delivery, and return on investment across Visit Savannah and Visit Tybee Island channels.
  • Track partner performance metrics and prepare reports that demonstrate value, support renewals, and inform future sales strategies.
  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnership opportunities—including sponsorships, co-branded campaigns, and integrated marketing programs—that contribute directly to advertising and partnership revenue.
  • Continuously evaluate partnership programs and pricing structures, recommending improvements that increase efficiency, partner satisfaction, and overall revenue performance.
  • Contribute directly to annual advertising sales revenue goals through partner retention, program growth, and strategic expansion of partnership offerings.

Marketing Support & Content Integration

  • Regularly monitor and audit partner profiles on VisitSavannah.com and VisitTybee.com to ensure content remains accurate, engaging, and reflective of the diversity of local businesses and attractions. Flag any needed updates to the appropriate internal teams for action.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to elevate local stories, events, and business voices in content and campaign development.
  • Assist in the development of toolkits and resources for local businesses to engage with tourism campaigns, leverage visitor interest, and build marketing capacity.
  • Manage marketing department giveaway items. 

Community Engagement

  • Build and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with local stakeholders across Savannah and Tybee Island.
  • Manage our community calendar and ensure Visit Savannah team members are assigned to represent us at industry and community organizations such as the Downtown Business Association (DBA), Cultural Marketing Alliance (CMA), Main Street Authority, Tourism Leadership Council and non-profit organizations to advocate for local interests and align on strategic priorities.
  • Plan and host free marketing workshops in both Savannah and Tybee Island to promote the exchange of best practices, education, and awareness of tourism-driven marketing opportunities.
  • Track and report on community engagement efforts and maintain strong lines of communication between Visit Savannah, Visit Tybee Island and regional partners.

Education and Experience/Key Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, or similar field preferred.
  • Must have strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Must have excellent computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and able to multitask.
  • Must be flexible and be able to adjust to changing conditions, circumstances and priorities.
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude and cooperate with staff.

Work Environment & Benefits

  • This is a full-time, in-office position based in Savannah, Georgia, with the opportunity to work remotely one day per week, based on team needs and manager approval.
  • Standard work hours are Monday–Friday; occasional evenings or weekends may be required to support events or major initiatives.
