Start With a Tour

The Historic Landmark District was made to be explored. A riverboat cruise along the Savannah River offers skyline views of River Street and the cobblestones below.

Stay, Dine & Discover

From historic hotels tucked inside restored mansions to restaurants set in former banks, warehouses and 19th-century homes, the Historic Landmark District blends preservation with modern-day Savannah energy. Shop along River Street, wander through City Market, pop into local boutiques or pause beside one of the many statues and monuments anchoring the 23 squares.

The district is often experienced in three sections — North Historic District near River Street and the riverfront, the quieter South Historic District filled with residential charm and shaded streets, and the MLK Boulevard corridor connecting culture, commerce and easy access points.
