Old Fort Jackson is a National Historic Landmark located on the eastern end of the city, right on the Savannah River. This early 19th-century fort is the oldest standing brick fortification in Georgia. Historical Interpreters in historical military impressions provide multi-era military history programming with daily historical weapons demonstrations and activities appropriate for all ages.
