We’re excited to welcome you to Savannah! Between your meetings, we hope you’ll experience the city the way locals do — through its art, architecture, coastal flavors and the kind of history that lingers long after you’ve left. Consider this your guide to navigating Savannah with ease.

01

Arrival & Navigation

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport keeps arrivals stress-free. A straightforward layout gets attendees from gate to curb quickly, and the drive into downtown takes about 20 minutes, making travel days smooth from start to finish.

Once you’re here, moving around the city is just as easy. Savannah is wonderfully walkable, with compact routes that connect meeting spaces, hotels, restaurants, and after-hours favorites. Tree-lined squares and historic pathways make it simple for attendees to navigate without much planning.

If your event is at the Savannah Convention Center, the Savannah Belles Ferry offers one of the most convenient ways to cross the river. The Florence Martus and Mary Musgrove run frequent, free loops and deliver attendees directly to and from downtown with ease—and a great view along the way.

What to Pack for Savannah

Savannah’s style leans polished but comfortable, making business-casual the sweet spot for most meeting days. Light layers are always a smart choice—indoor sessions tend to run cool, while our coastal air stays mild throughout much of the year.

Comfortable walking shoes are essential. Savannah's historic charm features cobblestone streets, brick pathways and green squares that you’ll want to explore between and after sessions.

If your visit includes evening events, pack something breezy for outdoor receptions and something a bit warmer for riverfront nights. Seasonal details, humidity, and temperature shifts are outlined in our seasonal packing guide, a helpful resource for attendees planning ahead.

03

Your Convention Center Connection

The Savannah Convention Center’s expanded footprint elevates the attendee experience with a 660,000-square-foot space designed for seamless flow and modern functionality. Planners now have 330,000 square feet of total meeting space, including a 100,000-square-foot exhibit hall, a 42,000-square-foot ballroom, and 24 meeting rooms that support everything from high-impact general sessions to focused breakouts. On-site food and beverage options—grab-and-go stations, curated menus, and efficient service styles—keep attendees moving comfortably throughout the day.

Just steps away, The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa provides convenient lodging with river views, resort-style amenities, an award-winning golf course and an easy walk to and from the center. It’s a natural fit for attendees who want comfort, convenience and a quiet place to unwind after a full conference day.

On the Horizon

The 444-room Signia by Hilton Savannah is set to debut in mid-2028, bringing elevated service, intuitive technology, locally inspired design and world-class meeting space. Its evolution marks an exciting chapter for Savannah's meetings landscape, offering planners and attendees even more options as the city continues to grow.

04

Savannah After Hours

As the sun sets, Savannah shifts into its moonlit persona. Bars buzz, stages light up, and the city invites you to unwind after a full day of sessions.

For entertainment, Savannah Theatre delivers more than 200 years of crowd-pleasing shows, while the Lucas Theatre rotates classic films and standout concerts. Feeling bold? McDonough’s karaoke and Savannah Smiles Dueling Pianos keep the energy high well into the night.

If a drink with a view is more your style, Savannah’s rooftop scene never disappoints. Enjoy river views at Top Deck and Bar Julian or botanical charm at Myrtle & Rose. Electric Moon Skytop Lounge keeps the vibe lively at Plant Riverside District, while Rocks on the Roof, Pendant Terrace & Bar, The Lost Square, Sorry Charlie's The Neon Fish, The Fitzroy, Churchill’s Pub, and The Public round out a skyline full of standout options.

Savannah loves the nightlife—and we like to boogie. With this many choices, attendees can easily find their perfect after-hours fit.

This flavorful map uncovers a few of our most treasured secrets (and of course, there are many more), which is why reservations are highly encouraged — especially for groups and prime dining times.

For dinner, Savannah’s fancy dining scene is a mecca for food connoisseurs. The Grey’s Southern cuisine with contemporary influences, The Olde Pink House’s iconic country fried chicken, Chive Sea Bar & Lounge’s grass-fed lamb chop, Cha Bella’s farm-to-table Georgia White Shrimp & Crab Risotto, Elizabeth on 37th’s seasonal Chef’s Tasting Menu, Saint Bibiana at Hotel Bardo, Madame Butterfly Korean Steakhouse, Stone & Webster, The Emporium Kitchen and Wine Market, and Husk Savannah all call for an encore. These headlining courses are the kind you plan ahead for.

Brunch is its own Savannah ritual. Collins Quarter’s Leo’s Big Brekkie, Municipal Bar’s French toast stuffed with creamy ricotta and Georgia peaches, Little Duck Diner’s all-day Flap Crab omelet and ARCO's blue crab cake eggs benedict playful spin on Southern classics, make it easy to turn a farewell meal into a highlight.
